EXPERIENCE
1. He is an associate in the Greensboro law firm of Ivey, McClellan, Gatton & Talcott, having received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May of 1979; and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in May, 1982.
2. Upon graduation from the University of North Carolina School of Law, he served three years in the United States Army as a Captain. After completing his military obligation, he went to work as a staff attorney at Womble, Carlyle, Sandridge & Rice in Winston-Salem, North Carolina working in the area of civil litigation.
3. While working at Womble, Carlyle, Sandridge & Rice, he sat for and passed the C.P.A. exam.
4. After passing the C.P.A. exam, he moved to Ivey, McClellan, Gatton & Talcott and began practicing in the areas of bankruptcy, taxation, estates, and general business law,
5. He has attended numerous national and state continuing legal and accounting education seminars devoted to bankruptcy, taxation and commercial law, including representation for the Internal Revenue Service.
6. He presently serves as an elected Representative for the State of North Carolina.
